At the insistence of their GPs, seven strangers join a book club in an attempt to find social connection. Instead, it becomes an increasingly ridiculous game of chicken as its members work out their rage at not being taken seriously by a society already oversaturated with trauma.

Lines between truth and fiction are blurred as the book club they’re reading about begins to analyse them, but what even is the truth anymore in an age where our shared reality has been fractured by algorithms and profit?

Could the shared experience of a story actually bring these strangers together?
